Hello, this website is being brought to you by Albert Jones who joined the US Marine Corps in August 1965 and served until 1969. Went to 1st Bn. on Parris Island and then to Camp Geiger for ITR. With an aviation guarantee, I was sent to Aviation Supply school in Memphis Tn. From there, I was transferred to MAG-31, H&MS-31in Beaufort, SC. After two and a half years, I had a chance to volunteer for Vietnam, serving with MAG-12, H&MS-12 in a place call Chu Lai in I corps. After 13 months, I was returned to the "real world" and given an Honorable Discharge with the rank of Sergeant.
It was 1988 when I began collecting militaria and being a Marine, I gravitated to
Marine insignia as my favorite along with Civil War--books, reunion badges, and Confederate dug buttons, etc. I guess besides all of the wonderful EGA's I've collected, my pride and joy was in the Civil War Confederate Marine button I was
fortunately able to obtain. I, of course, had a northern Marine button also.
I hope besides having quality items for you to buy, you will enjoy studying the array of early EGAs.
I must make a disclaimer to the fact that different collectors have different ideas sometimes on the different model dates of the early EGAs. I have made my dates through considerable collecting and studying of other collectors studies.
